LITTLE BIT

Ragged and dirty, nothing but skin and bones.
Negelected, mistreated,
A dog without a home.

We took you in, cleaned you up,
gave you all the love we had,
and you gave back, ten fold.

You gave us joy and happiness,
laughter, and tears
You were really something,
something to behold.

Just a little bit, just a little bit,
just a little bit of nothing
was all you was.
Just a little bit, just a little bit,
just a little bit, of nothing
was all you was.

The years went by too quickly,
too quickly so it seemed.
You grew too old
your joy for life was gone

No longer able to climb the stairs,
fetch your ball, or hear us call,
we had to let you go.

Just a little bit, just a little bit
just a little bit of something was what you was
Just a little bit, just a little bit
Just a whole lot of something to us.

You took our hearts and twisted them
around your little paw
and your became something,
something after all.
