Hi! I am 59 years young, married for 44 years to my husband, Dick. We have 3 grown daughters, 11 grandchildren, and 5 g-grandchildren. We live in the little town of Cimarron, Kansas (population 2500) which is located in South Western part of the state, 16 miles west of Dodge City, Kansas. Dick worked for the City of Cimarron as a lineman in the electricial dept. for 29 years and is now officially retired. I worked for the Cimarron Ins. Co., in the printing dept. for 17 yrs. but have not worked outside the home since 1987. We own rental property here in Cimarron, 2 trailer courts, 4 rental trailers and 5 rental houses which keeps us busy. Some of my hobbies are, writing, geneology, fishing, boating, camping, making webpages, and surfing the web. I have been writing for as long as I can remember. Mostly short stories, articles, light verse, poetry, and greeting card verse. I have had many of my writings published through the years. The first poem, Little Bit, is written about our little dog who we rescued from going to the dog pound. She was picked up by the police because she was being mistreated by her owners. If we had not taken her she would of surely been put to sleep. She is a Shih Tzu and the darling of our lives. And contrary to the poem, she is not dead.

I have had this poem set to music and hope someday to have a record out of it.
